What is the Nissan Certified Pre-Owned Inspection Process?

Every single Nissan Certified Pre-Owned vehicle goes through a rigorous 167-point inspection to check the following aspects of the car:

  • Air bags and seat belts
  • Unibody/frame
  • Tires and wheels
  • Engine fuel system
  • Electrical system
  • Suspension and steering
  • Brakes and exhaust
  • Transmission/differential
  • Interior (i.e. tears in seats, fabric or leather quality, wear and tear, etc.)
  • Exterior (i.e. paint quality, scratches, rust, etc.)

Once the car passes all the tests listed above and its CARFAX Vehicle History Report comes back clean, it goes through a road test. If it passes the road test, then the car is officially certified as a Nissan CPO vehicle!

The 7-year/100,000 mile limited warranty starts from your vehicle's original in service date and covers your engine, transmission and transfer case, drivetrain, deductible and replacement parts. 

And every Nissan Certified Pre-Owned car comes with 24/7 emergency roadside assistance for 7 years or 100,000 miles! Roadside assistance is available for 7 years or 100,000 miles after your vehicle's original in-service date and includes battery boost services, flat tire change services, lock out services, fuel delivery, car rental reimbursement, trip interruption and towing assistance.
